Transnet needs about R150 billion to fix its infrastructure so the R5 billion loan from New Development Bank is perhaps a drop in the ocean – but when added to the R18.5 billion loan recently received from African Development Bank and the government R47 billion loan guarantee – things are starting to look up for the country’s logistics provider.
