Liquidation of crypto firm delayed as director faces R500 000 costs deposit

NTC Global Trade Fund, which was in business rescue when attorney Bouwer van Niekerk was murdered in Johannesburg last year, is opposing its final liquidation.

The final liquidation of NTC Global Trade Fund has been delayed until September after the Pretoria High Court granted a postponement – but ordered sole director Edwin Thabo Letopa to personally provide R500 000 as security for the wasted legal costs pending the final order.

Unless Letopa transfers this amount into a designated trust account by 7 August, his legal challenge against final winding up of NTC Global will be struck out.
